Fenneldale is a small town along the southern edge of the Ilper river basin. I based Fenneldale on the town of Restenford, from an early AD&D module "The Secret of Bone Hill" (originals are downloadable from another page). I used the map of the city, but have given the locations my own meanings. This page shows the map and gives my meanings for the buildings, where I have specified them.
In the "Return to Nothoreadhel" campaign, the player characters began the game in Fenneldale.
This next map depicts the region around Fenneldale. For scale (rough-- this is not done to the foot!), the trip from Fenneldale to Davyd's Rest is approx. 3 hours' walk. Fenneldale's region is based on "Dovedale" in the modules "Dovedale" and "Janx's Jinx" in Dungeon Magazine.
