Work: Game Development

For the last three years I have been working my way through the game development industry.  I have done QA for Scholastic, and QA, IT, and project management for Gamelab.  I'm currently looking for work as a project manager, producer, or QA lead, or for consulting on game design and development or project management.

This page describes the games and projects that I've worked on, and my roles with them.

My resume is downloadable in PDF form.

Project Manager - Gamelab, 2008

At the end of 2007, I was appointed Project Manager for a prototype development project.  I've project managed two successful downloadable PC games and two online multiplayer projects: Top ChefJojo's Fashion Show 2: Las Cruces,  Prototype for Unreleased Online Multiplayer Game, and now Gamestar Mechanic.

Quality Assurance - Gamelab, 2006-2007

My first work with Gamelab was as QA Lead.  I tested games, created test plans, and hired and coordinated Testers. I was QA Lead for Miss ManagementOut of Your Mind, Arcadia Remix, and Downbeat

Quality Assurance - Scholastic, 2006

My first work in the game industry was as a Quality Assurance tester for Scholastic's Digital Media group working on the I Spy series on CD. I learned to write excellent bug reports and to reproduce the most finicky of errors; I also worked closely with the developer on the project and learned to prioritize bugs within a production schedule.  Read a review of the title.

Toward the end of the project, I assisted the Technical Producer with asset organization, concepting on new projects, and installer creation.
